Prospective Students and Researchers

Students and researchers interested in joining the Turner Lab as an undergraduate research assistant, graduate research assistant, postgraduate researcher, or postdoctoral researcher should contact Paul directly. The lab will also occasionally post job openings with the Student Employment Office and the Office for Postdoctoral Affairs.

Prospective doctoral students should apply to the PhD program in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences or the Microbiology Track of the PhD program in Biological & Biomedical Sciences at the School of Medicine.

  • The lab team published a paper in Nature Medicine about the use of phage therapy in treating patients with cystic fibrosis. The paper was also highlighted by the School of Medicine.
  • The Center for Phage Biology & Therapy hosted a screening of The Good Virus, a new documentary from director Rosie Dransfeld.
  • Ben Chan, Research Scientist, was profiled in YaleNews to talk about his work at the Center for Phage Biology & Therapy.
  • Jyot Antani, Associate Research Scientist, published a paper documenting a new method for understanding virus-cell interactions in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The paper was also highlighted in YaleNews.
  • Paul sat down with the hosts of the PhageCast podcast to talk about phage therapy at Yale.
  • CNN published an article about scientific efforts to curb antimicrobial resistance, highlighting the work of the Turner Lab and other phage labs around the world.
  • Paul spoke for an article in ELI about the impact of the Blavatnik Fund for Innovation on phage therapy clinical trials at the Yale School of Medicine.
  • Odera Nweke, B.S. Ecology & Evolutionary Biology ‘23 and Turner Lab alumni, was admitted to the University of Maryland School of Medicine to study dermatology.
